Ivonne Hammoud M.S.W, R.S.W
I am a registered member of the Ontario College of Social Work and Social Service Workers, and hold a Masters of Social Work degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. I have over 5 years of experience working closely with children, older adults, and more recently with victims of violence.
It is important to me that the therapeutic relationship be the right fit for the individual, to allow for trust, growth and a successful therapy process. I dedicate myself to understanding the perspectives, experiences and goals of the individual, and meeting them where they are at. I tailor the treatment to fit with the individual(s) and their specific needs, in an inclusive, authentic and down-to-earth manner.
I use techniques from various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused therapy, and Strengths-Based Therapy.
I have worked with individuals experiencing:
- Mood and Personality Disorders
- Parenting and Family Conflict
- Relationship breakdowns
- Anger management
- Chronic pain
- Emotion Regulation
- Unhealthy or abusive relationships
- Caregiver burnout
I look forward to meeting you and help you navigate through this current challenge, so you can live your best life!
